Computers and your library

Library card holders can make use of more than twelve personal computers--as well as public access computers that look up titles in our circulating and reference collections. Library card holders can register at individual computers.  Visitors must register at the Circulation Desk to use the computers, and you can do the following...

Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Graphics

All our PCs have Microsoft Office, plus we have a Macintosh computer in our Boeing Computer Center that has wireless access to the Internet with Microsoft applications for creating documents. A DeskJet color ink jet printer for hard copy is available

Internet Browsing

All of our computers are  hooked up to the Internet for Web browsing. In addition to the Web sites you can visit from any Net-ready computer, we also provide access to several subscription-only databases free of charge, including the Philadelphia Inquirer and a magazine article search from EBSCO Online.

Home Access

You may access many databases from home as part of The Power Library. Click on the "Access PA Power Library" link and put in your Delaware County Library Card fourteen- digit barcode number for home access to these Delaware County Library System databases.

Wireless Access at the Library

Wireless connections for laptops now available! You can now bring your laptop to the library for Internet access. Electrical outlets are limited so you might want to charge your battery before coming.
