Afternoon Book Club

Join us as we discuss popular titles with Discussion Leader Susan Purcell of the Delaware County Library System.  Last Wednesday of the month at 1:00 pm. Lower Level Meeting Room.

Internet For Beginners

Learn the basics of surfing the World Wide Web and how to set up an email account. Thursdays, from 10:30 - 11:30 am.  Space is limited. 

Mystery Book Discussion

Discuss popular mysteries with leader Jill O'Neill on the last Monday of every month at 6:45 pm in the lower level meeting room.

Tax Preparation

Free income tax preparation from Pathways PA. Certain income limits apply. Tuesday, February 14th from 12:30 pm to 6:30 pm, and Monday, March 5th from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Lower level meeting room

Veterans Benefits

Ralph Galati, Veterans Liaison from The Delaware County Department of Veterans Affairs, will inform veterans and their families about the full suite of benefits available to them from the County, State and Federal governments. This program can also assist future veterans, those currently on active duty. Wednesday, February 29th at 6:15 pm in Garling Hall.

Delco Deal Diva

If you like saving money, join Super Saver Kelly Anderson Moran for useful and helpful information on the best deals around. Kelly writes a blog for the Delco News Network, which keeps readers up to the minute on current freebies, contests, local events and more. Wednesday, March 7th at 6:15 pm in Garling Hall.

Financial Aid for College

Fran McKeown from PHEAA will take you through the financial aid process, and point you to scholarship help. Tuesday, March 13th at 6:00 pm in Garling Hall.

The Civil War: Its Battles and Generals

Join Professor Andrew Miller from Neumann University for a 4 part series on the Civil War. Topics to be discussed include Gettysburg, Lincoln and His Generals, Grant vs. Lee, and Antietam: The Bloodiest Day. Wednesdays, March 21st, April 4th, April 18th, and May 2nd at 6:30 pm in Garling Hall.

Richie Ashburn: Why the Hall Not and the Amazing Journey to Cooperstown

Author Bruce Mowday discusses his new book, which tells the story of the drive led by a fan to have Major League Baseball reconsider Ashburn for the Hall of Fame. Ashburn was elected to the Hall of Fame and the once-young fan and friend was with Ashburn at Cooperstown during the induction ceremonies. Tuesday, May 8th at 6:15 pm in Garling Hall.

Henna Tattoo Event

A professional henna tattoo artist will visit the library to give you a lovely temporary tattoo. Because of time constraints, small tattoos only and registration is required. Tuesday, May 22nd at 5:45 pm in Garling Hall.
